Yennefer from The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt

How can you tell if someone is #TeamYen ? If they spend more than 10 hours drawing a piece of fine art.

This piece was quite a journey actually. I may upload progress pics one day, but her face - I just could not get it right at first, and if you can't get Yen's face right, well to be frank you are not doing her justice. She wears ALL her emotions on her expression.

Her hair - looking at this again after a couple of years of completing it, I'm not sure how I did it atually. Lots of trial and error and erasing probably. Actually, now that I say that, I remember having so much trouble with her face, her mouth in particular, that I literally erased through the paper. I was devastated, but managed to salvage it with photo editing and in photocopies. It was so worth it in the end though, as I do think I've managed to capture her rarely-seen stern yet gentle expression.

I used graphite pencils and cotton pads (yes really, as in the ones you use to remove makeup) to blend the black background, as colouring it all in looks rough and is VERY time consuming.
