Description

“Maybe, maybe not. Now, on to gift number two…” She handed him the second, more slender bundle.
Unwrapping it, Cipher’s eyes went wide upon seeing a bow and quiver. The bow itself was a smaller build than the one he practiced with when training with Yuwa and had a very simple look compared to the ones he’d seen around the castle.
“Another thing I thought you may need sooner rather than later. Its shorter build doesn’t make it as strong, and it can’t fire as far, but it’s ideal for quick shots. Also, no arrows, but maybe you could convince Yuwa to teach you how to make them.”
I’d just as soon take him into my bed, Yuwa thought to herself dryly.
Cipher shrugged, “I think I better buy them, I doubt Yuwa would be fond of the idea.”
    Hmph, on that we agree.
Cipher returned his attention to the bow, and raised it to give it a test draw. From her perch, Yuwa was a little amazed by the display. She expected him to pluck at the bow string like an instrument, but instead he took his time, drawing as though he had an actual arrow to fire. Naturally it wasn’t the cleanest or most graceful of pulls, but Yuwa was caught off guard all the same, and maybe a little impressed.
Despite its humble appearance, the half-yumi was solidly built and had a nice draw strain. Cipher slowly let the string return to rest and looked to Shina, “I don’t know what to say.”
Shina leaned into him and wrapped her arms around his neck, “then don't say anything.” She then pulled him into a deep and passionate kiss, which he gladly returned. She soon broke the kiss and looked at her love with hooded eyes, “although there are a few ways you could thank me…”

Let's be honest, we'd all be pretty happy with a bow as a present. Who doesn't want to shoot arrows at a target in their off time?
