You've all seen Chase Harp in my gallery before.

I didn't exactly redo his character design, he's always been this way; my style just didn't support it. Between me being lazy and just drawing him whatever way I wanted to.. yeah. Anyway, this is more of an update, pretty much just aiming to show how he's proportioned and whatnot.

Obviously, nothing major has changed. Proportions have been noted and altered, and a minor change to his eyes (just removing the iris). His feet have changed to better be compared to both an ostrich and a feline, giving him this oddly raptor-like clawed toe.

Mind you, he is a runt of his species, but I can still point out function. His kind are basically a sort of material creature, meaning they are somehow a living metal and material base. The Fehder Egan, which is what Chase's people are, are a somewhat metallic race.

They can be compared to bronze and brass, with a magnetite frame, or core. Their blood is similar to diesel or jet fuel, and their 'feathers', which is really one branch with furlike extensions rather than branched barbs.. can vary between gold and brass. Their often-seen ability to hover other metallic or earth-born material above their heads or around them as if they've got gravity or orbit is because of their 'magnetite' core. Mind you, I did not just tell you they are made out of metal and run by gas. All of this is used in similarities and not in definition, they are not of our world and thus have a different logic than our own. Use your imagination.

The Egan have large hands with their frame extended out the ends of their fingers, almost like claws, to help grip and pull through their crystalline environment. Normally, an Egan's connection with earth-born similar materials will assist it in keeping grip. They are quick runners, and when on the move in their natural wild (or if they were to run in a rocky environment in ours) they could easily run on vertical cliffs or even upside down for a period of time.

They eat degradable things, very similar to how we handle compost. Chase, for instance, could eat a banana peel and be considered taken care of. Not that he would, they leave an unpleasant texture in the mouth. Their diet is very wide-ranged, and it is rare to hear of an Egan starving to expiration.

Their noses are soft, and actually have no 'bone' to support them. It's very similar to a filtering system.. and can also be said it is how they excrete 'waste' - no, they actually have no need to use the bathroom, and could pass off whatever they needed to in public, and do, without it ever being detected. Useful, yes? Sugars and items that are high in fat, however, have a negative reaction to the Egan. It can build up and compact, often making an Egan sickly, and create lumps on the face within a few days of consuming the material.

Most Egan do have birdlike wings, but over time, this has been developed into their species as hardly practical - moving from the mountains to the trees, Chase's people, for a long time, have started even removing their young's wings at birth. Not all believe in this practice, but it is common to see an Egan without wings.

..this is not an entire lot of information on Chase or his people, but hopefully it's something. xD I'd love to hear what you think about it.
