This was originally a preview for the full Modernity Candy CSS pack.
An adaptation of the earlier Halloween CSS Layout . This layout has evolved more than any of my earlier designs. Overall, I am very pleased with the final look, though it is quite different from the initial sketch.
Features:
- Available in single and two column layouts, both of which are included along with preview images in the ZIP
- Designed for a 1024x768 resolution
- Designed for both Firefox and Explorer with minimal loss of aesthetics in IE
- Many customization options
- Menu links feature mouse-over descriptions (Removed in v.1.3)
- Static left sidebar
- Sleek and modern design
- Colours coordinate well with the default dA scheme
- Features Fella, the dA mascot
- A Fella-less header and PSD/XCF files are also included
Changelog:
10/30/08: v.1.3
- Fixed the CSS to work correctly in dA v6 by removing the top menu.
- Background image restored to Explorer versions.
- Moved the sidebar code in the two column layout to the Header section.
- Assorted tweaks to the code to streamline design.
- New readme.
- Updated the Photobucket screenshot and directions (Photobucket changed their uploading system).

It`s exactly what a compact, stylish DA journal CSS layout should be!

Thanks!
For sanity's sake, I don't make custom CSS layouts. That's why I allow my designs to be altered as desired.

Awesome CSS! The design and different shades used came out quite nicely.
I might use this once Christmas is done and over with.

ah! almost the type of css I want! I also enjoyed your gallery and, particularly, the way you progressed around CSS!

Hey, can I use this, but edit it a little bit? I love your CSS stuff (just look at my journal), but I like tweaking. You mind if I try my hand at some tweakage?

I guess I'll have to call attention to it a little bit more in the description since you're not the first person to ask this today , but the CSS is available under a Creative Commons Non-Commercial license. There is a little more explanation of the Terms in the readme, but yes, the whole thing can be altered as desired.

A beauty, although I retain a slight reservation concerning the scrollbars: perhaps the tracks need to be #EAF2EE?

Ah, I think you are referring to the Visual Style-skinned scrollbars. That's just how the scrollbars appear in the browser due to my FF and XP settings.

Looks good! Fella is drawn by ¢greatLP just to let you know. ^devart is just an official storage account.

ClaireJones In reply to Lovely-Demented [2007-11-16 20:55:41 +0000 UTC]
Yeah...
I'm aware that ^devart is just a bot and not the creator of the Fella files, but I decided to use that name as a quick way to direct users to the file since I was short on space and the deviation pops up right away on the main userpage. I guess I decided to do it that way for both the sake of simplicity and because ¢greatLP is listed in the deviation description. I personally wish ¢greatLP would host the full ZIP in his gallery so he could get more credit.
I suppose maybe it's not the best logic, but that's how I thought it out.

I'm sorry, I should pay more attention because I didn't notice that you credited him in the artists comments block. I've been manipulating the Halloween CSS you did and noticed the Fella by ^devart credit, then ¢elusive told me the other day that ¢greatLP drew Fella, so I thought maybe you didn't know.

At this point only subscribers, seniors and staff can use journal CSS.

There are Terms in the readme, but basically the layout falls under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial 3.0 License.
