I like the draw to the eyes. Those thrashing flames gainst the cavernous blues give the form a dramatic impact. The use of whispy stripes to mold the form is neat! I like that it feels heavy yet also hollow, and you see and feel a movement in him even though he appears to be sitting stationary. The slant in the background geometry not only furthers the feeling of movement or flow, but it also makes the environment feel subterranean, I'm not entirely sure why that is, but it works. Overall this is a great piece and stands up to a good bit of study. I looked at it for some time and it did move.

it remindes me a little of Annie Lebowits (spl ck!) portrait of Kieth Harring but only as far as the b&w body paint. can enjoy both seperate but also a nice association however far fetched. ty.

Love it! Very graphic (in the visual sense)! The character pops against the darker background. One is left to wonder about his skin designs... tribal? or psychological interpretation? Love the warm and cool colors in the back. Wonder how big this is, bet it's impressive in person. Check out some of my art at [link] !
