...though, how did he learn that Shadow tried to kill Cosmo?...did some kind of argument break out that resulted in someone blurting it out, or was he blatently told for...whatever reason?

His amulet has a special power; what he can somehow see through Cosmo's eyes in her own time when she first met Sonic, Tails and the others.he has brief flashes of the people he meets so he can get to know them a little. Shadow was one of them.
