OMG! This reminds me of anf Eyeore head I got from Burger King that I tried to make look emo. I did the eyeliner and stuff.

Yay! Eeyore! He was my favorite from that series. I used to have a stuffed animal of him when I was little. The tail came off and everything! I still have it, but I can't find the tail...

NOT part of. I meant to say that you're absorbing him into a culture that he's NOT a part of.
The wrist cuts seem more like you're just trying to 'emo-ise' him, rather than trying to alter the innocence of the concept of the character.

uh....yeah. I am aware. I'm also aware that he's a cultural icon of childhood and that he has a character, and not just an image. It's kind of like taking Piglet and drawing him as a sub because he's so scared or something. It doesn't actually fit the character and it just seeks to absorb him into a culture for the sake of it, or for laughs, or to try and apply one's identity to something else for validation or something.
And I notice you didn't say that to any of the people who were going 'omg i loev eeyore i want to cuddle him' etc, considering they were actually treating him as a corporeal being, and I was not. Just a note, I love Eeyore as well, he was my favourite Winnie the Pooh character.

I know you were doing him differently, that you weren't just doing a copy of his image. But you've altered the character in a way that doesn't really fit, that's what I'm talking about.

I always thought that Eeyore was quite well adjusted with his lot in life, and he coped the way he did through his musings of being unhappy, but was aware of his friendships.
This seems...cruel and redundant. It is an interesting take on the idea, but it doesn't really make sense, as cute as it is.
Compositionally it's quite good, it's stylised very well and the emotion and colour and so on are all very good. But it just seems like you're absorbing him into a culture that he's actually a part of.
