Alexandra took a deep breath of the fresh air as she opened the door of the IMS truck and trailer, the scent of powdered snow bringing back memories of her last White December. She was sure that somehow, the air smelled different up here.
Stepping out into the muddy and tire-marked snow, the young woman could already spot some familiar faces among the crowd.
She circled around to open the back door holding their competitors. Sonia had hopped out the other side and was already unloading tack and supplies from their trunk silently.
"It'll be tough, but this place is quite the experience," called Alexandra, leading her chestnut pony down the ramp and securing her to the bars along the side of their trailer.
"I'm sure it will be," Sonia replied, following her mentor back into the vehicle for the other horses, "and I look forward to whatever awaits."
Alex chuckled to herself at her newbie's monotone expression. This would definitely be an experience to remember, she thought, prepared for the ride ahead.

bahaha i'm so far behind with this pic as I've been working on several pictures simultaneously, but at least that means i'll be able to have some more things done pretty soon
