Alexander, the teenage son of noble and prestigious parents, often let his curiosity get the best of him. His parents were out of town for the night and he was their only child so he had the house all to himself.

His mother had a magic dress that made her look ten years younger. Out of curiosity, Alexander decided to try it. He put on the dress and went to a nearby full length mirror to take a look at himself. He did not notice any changes. This made him disappointed.

There were at least four things he did not realize. First, the dress did not make him look younger, it actually made him younger. Second, the change was gradual, too gradual to notice right away. Third, if a male puts on the dress it gradually changes his gender too. Fourth, the dress also causes mental changes. In the case of Alexander, he was being mentally sent back to a time he never lived in.

Alexandra began skipping about the house. The mental changes caused her to forget about the magic dress for a while. When she entered her room she wondered why her room looked like that of a teenage boy. The dress only changed her and not anything else. That was when she remembered.

She ran back to the mirror to take another look. To her horror, she had completely changed into a little girl. She wanted to see herself look younger but she did not actually want to be younger and she certainly did not want to change gender. Alexandra tried to remove the dress but she got dizzy whenever she attempted it. The mental changes were not complete and she could not remove the dress until they were.

Her fear soon changed to comfort and delight as she was mentally sent back to a time in which she never lived. She was cold so she put on a coat. Unlike the magic dress, the coat did not change size to fit her new body. However, this did not concern her. As long as it kept her warm, it was fine.

Alexandra yawned. Being young, she could not stay up as late as she could before so she went to bed. She was still wearing the dress and coat. The next morning, her parents returned home. Alex was going to be in trouble even though she did not remember what she was going to be in trouble for.
