Description For

About the Geno:
Mottled Dun is an appaloosa pattern that has been bred into its own gene. It is separate form nLp entirely now. The genocode is MdMd if dominant or nMd if recessive.

Mutation Info:

~Mottled dun is not an actual dun gene but has its origins in the appaloosa patterns
~It creates points and a dorsal stripe similar to a dun or bay but instead of solid coloring is made of compact spots
~The maximum qualities allowed for the gene show harsh points with visible spotting near the top
~Minimum qualities have very large and loose spots on the points as well as a few stray body spots (This occurs with nMd)
~This gene can appear over any color although the example above is on black
~Main and tail are always solid unless there is an overlaying paint pattern
