Ozark's curiousity gets him into some trouble. While exploring an Abandoned Campground (cruising around the tents in search of a snack), the stallion finds himself caught in a trap! Somehow, as the rope snaps off a nearby treelimb, it closes around his neck. It's opposite end is cleverly secured around some type of man-made, metal system. Even the strong beast can't yank himself free from its hold.
"Hold still.." a feminine voice calls out. Ozark pauses his tantrum mid-rear as a gorgeous, golden beauty emerges from the shadows. She studies the situation with one good, brown eye. Her other eye (a cloudy.. icy blue), stared into nothingness, a gruesome scar trailing through it across the mare's face. Curious!
"Let me help you.." she speaks again, this time her words more gentle- yet still firm, in the same moment. This was obviously an experienced mare; or at least, that was the impression she gave Ozark. The mare then used her teeth to snap the rope, and both horses darted for the nearby treeline.
"Thank you," Ozark expressed his appreciation as they ran.
"Youre welcome," the mare called back, offering the lumbering beast a friendly smile. "I'm Denali," she then offered him her name, before continuing to advise him. ".. and trust me, you don't want to be stuck in one of those traps when a human comes along to check it."
