Yeah, sounds about right.Β Every summer there seem to be complaints about global warming, and every winter there are complaints about freak blizzards.Β Or at least, a lot more than there used to be.Β Is the weather really getting more extreme, or are people's tolerances for natural variances getting smaller?
On a somewhat unrelated note, here's some food for thought: Earth has seasons because of the tilt of the planet's axis.Β What if we lived on a planet that didn't have that tilt?Β Would the weather be the same year-round, with some areas constantly hot and some constantly cold, and people would only live in temperate bands?Β What if Earth spun on its side like Uranus?

I'd be suspicious.Β Something tells me it'll involve giant lasers/magnets to attract asteroids to the planet and pummel it repeatedly until the tilt is upright again.

Summer isn't the only season prone to this. Some of my friends went abroad a few years ago and they heard, "Only Americans would give a scary name like 'polar vortex' to what the rest of the world calls 'winter.'"

American Liberals. Β Yes, we no longer have seasons and storms. Β We have: events, super-storms, hurricanes, polar vortices and Al Gore or Govt can fix it - for a fee.
