Charlie stroked the stallion’s thick neck, laughing when he tosses his head above him as he reaches to bridle him. “You’re a cheeky guy, huh?” He grins, shaking his head. The first ride on a new horse at home always has his stomach in knots, but as soon as he swings his leg over the stallion’s broad back he feels at ease. Bjorn snorts as they set to work. The ride is about as perfect as Charlie can hope for. He loosens his reins and allows the stud to move into a lofty, stretchy trot.
