those curves and the type of decorations makes it a little cartoonish.
Usually in situations where there is no room or no money to build a bridge long enough to have a reasonable slope for vehicles (or horses) architects tend to prefer underpasses.
But the unreasonable slope alone makes it look kinda magic.
