Description
a cold word, disinfectedspiraling into suitcases
discussions obliterated
you must be sleeping
but you can't be dreaming
you must be tired
so tired of feeling
a chalk board, throat sore
from the dust in the air
the lingering definition
of what was never, nothing,
no way
and i wish, i breathe
i steal mondays
out from under my pillow
restless, bulldozed
plowed into next week
blue faced, disintegrated
lying heavy and dull
you must be sleeping
but you can't help dreaming
you must be still
still wanting, still hoping
still 2AM
still tuesday
still march, cold and going forward
you must be
still to the touch that messes
your hair, frayed and weightless
in a gloom of streetlight
synthetic sunlight
smoke like fingers
around your neck
choking the truth out
have another drink
what the heck
at least its not light out yet
remembering all those
painless nights
sedated, wondrous, carefree nights
remembering all those
broken lights
in circles hovering makeshift
those semi-circle halogen lights
i must be sleeping
i must be dreaming
i must be
i must be...

It's got that romantic flavor, and shares the aspect of vague vagaries, but I won't call it cliche.
It seems you've done what few can do, and fewer twice, by taking the overused and bending it to your will.
It was enjoyable, if not perfect, but good without the shadow of a doubt.

I find nothing to critque just to things to admire. I love the subtle nature with which u approach the topic. Its great! These have to be my favourite lines:
a cold word, disinfected
spiraling into suitcases
i steal mondays
out from under my pillow
And as a pillbox always comes in handy I shall take it with me
