TECHNICALLY this isn't the first ever drawing of Pyro. I had a lot of first drafts of Pyro before I went with this general design and even then his design has changed a lot since this piece. I do still have the actual first ever drawing either on my Tumblr or in my sketchbook but it isn't colored and I knew when I first drew it that I wasn't happy with the design and was going to change it a lot.

I don't actually know what year I created Pyro but it could have been 2016/2017.

This is also back when The Last Ember was located in Spain and was inspired by Spanish culture. However, I became infatuated with Incan culture so I moved The Last Ember to Peru and began to focus on more Incan inspired culture and fashion. There's also little things I changed like the skin color becoming richer and darker, the eyepatch being colored orange instead of blue, and Pyro's hair becoming more of a curly mess and less of a layered curl like you see here.
I'm glad I changed his design and am a lot happier when drawing him now. The clothing is still a challenge but it's different and beautiful so I won't change it.
