Armadillo Lizard (Cordylus cataphractus)!

After doing a number of studies/sketches of these creatures, I jumped in and sketched this in pencil from my head (with a few checks to reference photos for some accuracy, though it's all minor) Then I did some inking

Adorable reptiles that curl into a defensive ball by biting their tails to protect the softer belly. Using a general nib in a dip pen and W&N black indian ink for this- I'm going to finish this up with watercolours I think
