Well, this is my first real finished attempt at using only the computer of an entire picture. Yes, the entire thing. o.O

I started this picture aimlessly for a school project, where we had to design a picture for the front of our literary magazine. Of course, being the slacker that I am, and being swamped with this whole Emerson project in Flash which didn’t even work out, I really didn’t get the chance to finish it for the deadline, which was last Friday. But, I had a nice sort of fairy picture going on, so I continued. And then, WHAM! It hit me- this was a pic of my character Fyri, the celestial goddess of Beght! I had drawn her once before (a headshot), but this turned out to be completely different than what I expected. Amazing how art has a way of subconsciously manipulating itself into something that the artist can relate to.

Fyri’s a bit of an interesting character. She really doesn’t have much of a weakness other than those who have her element and are dual-elemented with the sky element, and the goddess who controls the day sky and everything of the sort is her third cousin. o.O Fyri’s the one who gave Kitoro his earrings (he lost one, which Cyranea later found) and his sword. She’s shy, yeah, but she’s stronger than most anticipate, and she’s immortal. Rumors are going around that Kalweaz is after her, which would ultimately push the High Council over the edge and probably demand that Crystal kill him dead. If she could. XP

I think Clamp (if you’ve ever read Wish, the dress scheme with the flowy things will look familiar) really influenced my work on this piece. Those robes are probably her High Council wear, as most of the time, when they ascend into god or goddess form, their outfits are more…err, revealing. Yeaaah. I tried to go with a different set of wings for her, to be more fairy-ish. o.O I had no idea what to do with the hair, so I left it white. Oh yeah, even though this picture doesn’t show it all too well, her right pupil is like a moon and her left is a star. The right waxes and wanes with one of the moons of Beght. I think that’d be so cool to do, you know? Thirty different contacts or something for each day…though the new moon would be a problem.
The moon and stars are really what I went about this picture with, as Fyri, even though she does also rule over the sun, along with her slightly older third cousin Fyraka, is aligned under the night versus the day. I thought I’d do a picture of her sitting on a cloud casting the minor celestial spell, Lon Muz. She’s probably looking at a mini globe of either Earth or Beght. Sparkly…If this was done by someone else, I’d favorite it, but…wow, did I do this? XD I’d never thought I’d be able to do something like this. I like how I found this to be challenging with the clothes and everything.

And I know I’m gonna sound crazy, but I think I used a little too much purple. XD
