A self-portrait cross-over with Cratesh'ya Hik'rata, AKA Crystal Hikara. Yes, I actually bothered to write out her decided Beghtian name. Whoo.

Anyways, it's been a little over a year since I've done a portrait, and just about 3 since I did the original Crystal crossover, sooooo yeah. That, and it's been since 06 since I did my only color portrait. Gotta keep my realism sharp, you know!

So...yeah. This is to use as reference for Crystal, I guess, too. Because, like, everyone and their moms FORGET HER SIDEBANGS. They're like her sideburns but they're longer than her bangs. Trust me, I have yet to see anyone incorporate them, unless it was for the Poke-version of Crystal. Which annoys me. Greatly so. It's part of her profile, dammit! *rantrant*

Ehem! Second true 'realism digi' piece (first being Hermes), but I think this one is about three times better. Minus the lips, I really, really like how the face came out. I think I near matched the colors of my skin (I am pretty fair with rosy cheeks, similar to how I designed Crystal...), minus the lips. They aren't quite that red (unless I've just brushed my teeth or something else, in which case they're redder than this) normally. :/ That, and the eyes look a tad bit too big. Well, the right (our left) eye, really. The other is fine. That and the face is longer than mine, buuuut that's because Crystal's a good 4 inches taller than I (I'M FUCKING SHORT.) I dunno. Overall, I think it looks like her...or what I imagine her to look like.

...I really wish my eyes were that color blue. I really, really do. ><' *whiiiiiiiine* I want coooooooontaaaaaaaactsss...

I abuse smudge, burn, and dodge too much for my own good.

What's she wearing? Uh...same thing I was when I was drawing this- a white pullover sweatshirt. Because I was too lazy to get into something more productive and colorful.

...Hopefully it really does look like me...>.> Self portrait mirror used, so you can't really judge. Haha, so soddy, but I don't have a camera! Better to get used to referencing in real life anyways... As for the cat ears, Mittens was a good boy and he let me draw off of him. I dun think they came out how I wanted them to, though. :\

HEEHEEHEEWILDLYPINKHAIR. Speaking of hair, I don't think I got enough yellow in the hair...:/ Kinda looks a little too auburn for my liking. It's supposed to be golden blonde, so it's got to have a tad bit of orange in there, but...maybe I just referenced off my hair too much. *shrug* I tried to do a hue/sat change after the pic was done, but I didn't like it, so eh.
