Man, getting the proportions right on the Varia Suit were just...ASDFSDFfDFJGJKGH. Seriously, wtf guys. Got enough chest protection? Samus shouldn't be able to even get her arms in that position! Oh, and METAL. I HATE METAL. IS SHINEH BUT I NOT LIKE >| ARM CANNON WHY U THWART MEEEEEEEEEE? VARIA SUIT WHY DO YOU TWART MEEEEEEEEEEEE? GOD, WHY DOES SAMUS HAVE TO BE SO FREAKIN' AWESOME LIKE THAT. ...I've had enough of cramming all those little details in there and making it all look the same and somewhat realistic and everything. Give me my linearts, I am DONE.

Anyways, double awesome pic because I got in JUST in time to make 's contest, Samus's Abilities. You illustrate your most favorite ability, and my GOD I have to admit I love me some Grapple Beams. I like it MORE than Spider Ball, and that's saying something. There are a TON of entries, some of them REALLY REALLY good, so wish me luck on that one! (Fuck, I'm screwed, haha.) In addition to that, this will make for a kickass print (I hope!) at Another Anime Con.

...Here's a little tidbit on me. I know it doesn't seem it, but I'm (one of) the biggest gaming geek ever in the history of being a gaming geek. I've played through the trilogy, Gamecube versions for the first two. I have to say that my favorite one gameplay wise was 2, but...the original Prime just had something so special about it.

I'm so tempted to hook it back up and get back into hard mode. (I picked it up briefly to check out the Frigate Crash Site so I could get a better understanding of it.) I left off at Omega Pirate, who is the biggest bitch in the world, just for the record. But I've always loved the lush environment of Tallon IV, from Phendrana Drifts to the Chozo Ruins to the Overworld. I just... I'm not a FPS at all, but the way they handled the game without dialogue, yet telling of the story...it was just fantastic. But don't get me started on how lame and easy 3 was thanks to the whole Phazon thing. You will not stop me. >:[

I spammed music while I drew this, specifically Planet Tallon IV, Tallon Overworld, Chozo Ruins, Phendrana Drifts, Just a Little More OCRemix, and One Girl in All the World OCRemix. If you haven't checked out OCremix, WTF is wrong with you do it now. The songs are so beautiful. For me, they really helped me in terms of painting this.

...overall I have to say I'm preeeetty pleased with how all the shading came out and everything. IDK how I am but I am. Maybe because I spent so long on it and I haven't spent this long on a piece in a looooooong time? I have no idea. I don't even care that I really got the legs wrong or anything. It's done and I'm satisfied.

...Grapple <3 Hopefully she stands out enough from the background...it had to be pretty dark (My goodness Tallon IV I love you but you're so dark), so here's to hoping the prints will come out nicely.
