Pretty much the same process I do too, although not on a computer (I can't properly sketch using my tablet, no matter how hard I try everything I draw with it ends up looking..."special" *laughs*). That bit with ghost lines and sketching the rough bits lighter is a good tip, I should try that (seems such an obvious tip, but I've never even thought of it before).
Wonderful tutorial though, I love seeing people's methods.
