Description
Spent a few hours getting this fella in a presentable state. Was mostly experimenting with blending, smudging and blurring to create various skin textures. In this case, feathers and the bony crests. My scale approach still needs work.
A Dilophosaurus, a favorite of my childhood. I remember being captivated by the two fierce looking crests on the head, like blade shaped brows. Used to have a couple of mean-looking toys of them as a kid.
When I finally saw Jurassic Park, I was somewhat dissapointed of how downsized the animal was. It seems that image has mostly dominated the public consiousness of the animal, but the creature will always be what it always has been
