She wasn't there at the time and since no pony told or asked her about it (even though I'm pretty sure none of them saw the eyes move anyway) it never came up at the end of the show.

Though I'm pretty sure it was Pinkie Pie we'll NEVER KNOW FOR SURE!

well there had to be things she read while she was off screen.

yes, I agree, but what I mean is the things she read in the book on screen. She talked about the switching walls, the tapestries and the organ. I don't remember a mention of the picture though.

well compared to everything else a picture with removable eyes is rather minor.

but again, as far as I can tell it was never stated. Even if we assume it's Pinkie, not the pony of shadows, there is no proof. Just cause the eyes are blue don't mean it's pinkie, and the paintings eyes were already blue.

Well the painting seine happened before the pipe Organ and Pinkie is the current best fit solution. That is until we find out what color the pony of shadows' eyes are. The paintings eye color is besides the point.
