Original character. The first Blitz was one of the more successful results of the Nazi super-soldier program Projekt Halbgott ("Project Demigod"). Possessing the ability to generate and fire powerful bolts of electricity, Blitz was quickly recruited for the team of German super soldiers, Die Ubermenschen ("The Overmen"). Quiet and resourceful, Blitz was an effective operative. Ironically, he was killed by one of his own teammates. Blitz came to fellow German Kreiger 's aid during a personal duel with the American superhero the Guardsman . Feeling this was an unforgivably dishonorable act, Kreiger broke Blitz's neck.
