Description
Cancer is a member of the criminal organization Zodiac . Previously she was Cassandra Ralston, a scientist researching the possibility of inducing super powers in non-Deltas(1). Her favorite animal test subject was an unusually intelligent crab she nicknamed Roy. Roy turned out to be more special than Cassandra could have ever imagined. Not only did he turn out to be the first recorded non-human possessor of the Delta gene, he manifested a record twenty-seven distinct superpowers when the gene manifested. Emotionally bonded to the researcher, Roy unleashed chaos when Cassandra's employers tried to remove her from the project then teleported Cassandra and himself to safety. Together they went a crime spree that caught the attention of Virgo , the leader of Zodiac. Virgo recruited Cassandra (and in the process, Roy) to fill the slot of Cancer in the Zodiac organization.(1) - Deltas are people with the potential for superhuman abilities via the power-granting Delta gene.
