Biography:

The red branch line coaches are usually used for branch line passenger rail services due to their short sizes, they can be seen being pulled by smaller engines such as Edward, Percy, Duck and Oliver, who live in their respected branch lines.

Much like Toby's coach Herietta, the coaches can still be found in service on the North western railway to this day on Sodor.
Basis:
The red coaches are based on LB&SCR Stroudley four-wheel coaches, like Annie and Clarabel. Several of these coaches are preserved on the Bluebell Railway.
