She is using the custom box background code inside the content-holder box and thus giving it a background. I shall be uploading a tutorial on how to do that soon.

Another thing is that on the orange box tutorial there was a comment asking if it could be purple, you said not possible. But when you look at the code at the area
"smbutton smbutton-orange"
and change orange to purple, it works.
I was experimenting yesterday with the codes.

when you put other colors such as purple, red or green it will work. But, if you see properly it actually highlights on mouse hover. So, basically by changing the color name it turns into a button. You may find all the color to be same as these buttons... [link]

This is a really late reply but it is possible to have purple content holder boxes. There's a choice of blue,green,orange,purple and white I think,possibly more!~
