Tigger and José were pinned under the camera and broken shutter. I told them to stay down and start running when they were free. I motioned the agents in the other building to stay back, we need the footage from Tigger’s camera and the agents need to block the exits in the bar. Now I just need to buy everyone some time.

I waited for Quaseparanu to get close to the door leading to the outside of the balcony. When he was close enough I drop kicked the door.

A shower of splinters flew from the door frame and a crack I put down the middle of the door. Quase got knocked to the ground and landed on top of the door that was now covering him. Hayzel decided to chair me which I would normally be able to brush off without trouble. The problem was I didn’t have my feet on solid ground and the chair was build like an elephant. I got sent falling back onto the balcony while Quase tossed the door aside and Hayzel helped get him up. That was perfect for me. I rolled back, pushed off the railing with my hands, and kicked my legs out. Quase and Hayzel were hit at the same time and went flying back. We all quickly got up and Quase ran at me first. One spinning thrust kick sent him to the other side of the room. Hayzel tackled me into another chair. I’m sitting in the chair that is wedged into the corner of the room with this big, blue pain in my ass getting ready to driver her shoulder into my gut when I hit her with an elbow to the back of the head. Two kidney punches to Panda later, I grab Hayzel’s waist, push us both a way from the chair, lift Hayzel into a powerbomb, Hayzel’s head hits the ceiling and I had slam her early, right into the ground. As I look up there is pair of boots heading for my face. Quase dive kicked me in the face with enough force to put me up on my knees.

At this point, I’m piss, Quase is pissed, I have no idea where the agents, Tigger, and José are, and I don’t care. I spring to my feet and Quase rolls to his. Quase tries for a running close line only for me to catch him in a monkey flip and send him into the unbroken chair.

Interpol agents come in and swarm the room. José tells me that Tigger is same and the footage has been retrieved. I catch my breath and spy a drink on the table. I take a good gulp and dump the rest on Hayzel to wake her up. With Hayzel and Quase under control I finally tell everyone everything.

“As I see it, you two worked out a plan to have Hayzel win her match by threatening the competitors with an ominous message and flowers sent by Quase. After the rumble was over, Quase heads back to Brazil and Hayzel hunkers down until suspicions die down. When it felt right, the two of you would meet up here and split the money, hoping that having the exchange go down in Maturin that no one would have the authority to stop you or know what was going on. But, we have the evidence, we figured out your plan, and here’s were things get complicated.”

José looked both confused and worried about what I was going to say.

“This deal happened during and involved a non-sanctioned wrestling match. Gambling and rigging are technically not a punishable offense by that ruling.”

José’s face just sank while Hayzel and Quase started smiling.

“However, this was not scripted nor approved. Quase threatened 4 people before the Rumble even started. Now, Hayzel is dividing her winnings that were obtained by cheating. I already spoke with the Rat Rumble Wrestling Committee. They are not going to protect either of you from prosecution, you will not be granted their legal support, and the money will be retrieved before the next Rumble or you both will be facing charges filed by the committee. I will let them tell you ALL of those details on their own. Buuuuut, they did have an offer.”

Now everyone is curious.

“The committee will work with authorities, including Interpol, to handle things as internally as possible, allow you two to keep your place on the roster, and participate in the next Rumble. The catch is you need to return ALL of the money as soon as possible, don’t refute any details that are released to the public, and agree to your next match… You two versus Tavii and myself in a tag team match.”

In the end, they agreed to the committees deal and the match has been scheduled.
