Description One thing I've noticed about a lot of Ever After High OCs based on Rose Red from the is that they're often Apple White's cousin. This kind of irks me because as a fairy tale enthusiast, I know that the Snow White in Snow White and Rose Red is NOT the same Snow White as the one in Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, If you look at their German names, they are slightly different. Snow White from "Snow White" is Schneewittchen, while Snow White from "Snow White and Rose Red" is Schneeweißchen. Also, Snow White from "Snow White" is a princess, while Snow White from "Snow White and Rose Red" is a commoner. I think that fans should try not to get the two stories confused. (Then again, a lot of people in general confuse the two stories.) Granted, this isn't as annoying as the Disney OCs or the poorly-done Snow Queen daughters (the ones that were made just because the creator wanted something similar to Elsa from Frozen), but it's still problematic. It's okay to have OCs that don't have any ties to canon characters. If anything, those tend to be the ones to get praise.

I know that some fairy tale names are repeated. I can think of at least four French fairy tale characters named Aimée. There are quite a few fairy tale heroes named Jack. Goldilocks can either be a character in Goldilocks and the Three Bears or a character in The Story of Pretty Goldilocks. Still, I think it's best not to confuse characters just because they have the same name.
