Description edit - Alternate version: Don't judge a movie by its book as requested by =Aquarior .

edit - Changed the font.

I read that sentence into a Reader's Digest and I thought it would make a nice stamp.

Then I discovered that somebody had already done a similar stamp here , but I decided to submit this one anyway.

Template: [link]

edit - Thanks to everybody who faved this. I've stopped thanking you all on your profile because it was starting to take a lot of time.

Yes.. If anyone read and then watched A Series of Unfortunate events.. I mean seriously -.-
I mean you CAN'T get 12+ books in ONE movie!
...and this is why they only included the first three and actually gave it an ending to make it look like there never even was anything more to it. ewe

Unfortunately, I have been disappointed by so many movies. In the Percy Jackson movie, there were so many mistakes, at some points, I wondered if they producers had actually read the book. The characters were the wrong ages, Annabeth was blond, and the whole plot was about finding the pearls!

Percy Jackson and the Olympians...they turned literally one paragraph of the story into the plot of the movie. Also they aged each character by at least 3 years and made two distinct characters very very different from how they were written. Oh, and a new movie is going to be released on the second book.
And don't even get me started with movies based on cartoons

That is so true. I have been disappointed COUNTLESS times because the movie does not match up with the book. Such as...Hunger Games, Percy Jackson (Major Mess ups there), and Eragon (also very disappointing). Harry Potter was one of the only ones I've seen without pointing out all the errors in the plot line.

This... so much of this.

I was really excited for The Hunger Games movie because the book was so good... but ugh, I thought the movie was a pile of garbage. The worst part was the last 15 minutes, which didn't follow the important elements from the book AT ALL. Peeta was fine, and Katniss didn't tick him off... What the heck. Those were pretty important details, movie!

Oh, and the Percy Jackson movie was pretty terrible, too. I couldn't sit through 15 minutes of it without wanting to pull my hair out. The funny thing is, my mom actually found it GOOD She won't read the book, either, because she hates reading. That's just... why.

I completely agree with you on the Hunger Games. It was a crappy movie over all. Why would they toss out all of the good details?! I'm not even going to bother watching the next movie.

IT WAS The movie was so bad. They left out so many characters and scenes and added scenes of their own, to the point of which they couldn't even make the second book into a movie because they had altered so many key scenes!

Oh yes, indeed. I haven't seen many that actually do the book justice.

*coughs* And let's not mention The Lightning Thief. That was a fucking tragedy x.o I'm kinda surprised that they're making SoM, considering how much they screwed up the first.

BubblestormX In reply to Stellori [2013-07-03 02:36:18 +0000 UTC]

Haha, I've noticed that most of the PJ fans on here hate the movie, actually |D It's so... OFF. I remember on another stamp, that I wrote out a nice list of some of the things they did wrong (probably not everything, but a lot), a stamp that bashes the movie, actually xD I watched the movie before reading the books, so it was all fine and dandy until the books were actually read.. and then I was just all

BubblestormX In reply to Stellori [2013-07-03 03:03:17 +0000 UTC]

I had a feeling the movie wasn't going to be good when Annabeth's hair was brown instead of blonde

I really, really hate the capture the flag scene in the movie. They screwed that up BIG TIME.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Stellori In reply to BubblestormX [2013-07-03 03:08:57 +0000 UTC]

Ugh yes, I don't understand why that was done. It's not very hard to dye hair, freakin' hell.

Oh yes. That bit was definitely screwed up. Seriously. x.o Not to mention, many key characters are missing overall! Where's Ares? Where's Clarisse? Most of all, WHERE'S MR. D!?

BubblestormX In reply to Stellori [2013-07-03 03:19:36 +0000 UTC]

I didn't even finish the movie because it was so horrible

Someone told me Hades is the villain in the movie, they don't mention Thaila at all, and Percy kills Luke? Is this true? If it is, they shouldn't have even considered making another movie

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Stellori In reply to BubblestormX [2013-07-03 03:23:19 +0000 UTC]

Maybe I'm lucky that I saw it before I read the book

Yes, they made Hades the villain. x.o Kronos wasn't even mentioned if I remember correctly. Yeah, I don't think Thalia was mentioned, either, though I don't remember if Percy killed Luke or not. I saw the movie... years ago xD And yeah, I'm surprised they're making the second one. ._. But it does have a different director, so... maybe it'll come out alright (at least Annabeth is actually blonde this time u.u)?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

BubblestormX In reply to Stellori [2013-07-03 03:33:26 +0000 UTC]

It'd be hilarious if the second movie pretended the first never happened... I'd be thankful

Grover isn't black, though... How are they supposed to fix that without confusing people who have never read the books? O.o
