Description
Finally got to see Sue the T. rex up in its new digs up on the 2nd floor Evolving Planet exhibit. In here, the Tyrannosaurus rex gets the full showcase rightfully so deserved. One learns all about the history of the Sue specimen, all the pathologies and injuries on the specimen, and overall tyrannosaur anatomy, diet, habitat, and other factoids. Includes amazing Beth Zaiken murals depicting the Hell Creek landscapes of Montana and so forth that Tyrannosaurus rex called home, and even some specimens of other animals from Hell Creek are exhibited alongside the tyrannosaur material. Sue even gets it's own dedicated gift shop too on this floor. I had seen Sue up there from my first 2023 Field visit in April, this comes from my July 13th, 2023 visit to the Field.
