Description
I originally colored this as a day scene, but after a suggestion from , I changed it to a night scene, which I'm happier with. The mood is more appropriate for Hellboy methinks. The only downside is that I wanted him to be the rich red that he's known for, but it wouldn't work in this lighting.Let me know what'cha think!

Night scene is amazing, I love it ^_^ I really like the red in it too, and I think he actually looks cooler in that shade than in the traditional red... Good job!

Very cool! Great job on the leather and stone textures. The gun looks a little flat to me, though, and he needs to cast a shadow (unless he's supposed to look like he's floating). Overall, looks pretty sweet!

Yeah, I coulda gone more realistic with the gun but I wanted to blend the simplified Mignola style with my own, so I kept his design of the gun and just shaded it. The lack of a cast shadow is a result of this image not being planned out. I normally have everything how I want it before I begin shading it, but this was supposed to be a quickie. Once I had more time with it I kept changing stuff, like adding the statue, background, etc. I never even noticed that he didn't have a cast shadow. I'm not gonna bother going back in to change it now, but thanks for pointing out something that will bother me forever.
heh heh.
I'm glad you like it though.

*laughs* If that's a quickie, I'm even more amazed. Again, very nice, and I do love your work. ^_^
