Description
In anticipation of the release of the final book in the Hunger Games trilogy (Mockingjay, out tomorrow), I drew a 5 page fancomic for the series, adapting the first couple pages of the original Hunger Games novel. Wow, these are really nice! I just love the expressions and the use of negative space in this. It really has the atmosphere I imagined when reading the book. Do you think you'll do any more scenes from the books?

Maybe from the 3rd book, if there's something that impresses me... I did sketches of scenes from the 2nd book, but never finished them.

Hello Ms. Skippy,
I remember your first drawings of the Hunger Games way back when and had been meaning to read it since then. It wasn't until last month that I was able to get my hands on a copy. I pretty much tore through it and just finished Catching Fire during a trip to Quebec (all while keeping my wife, sadly not a book person, updated of the goings on in the stories). I have to say that it is amazing to enjoy a series that doesn't have happy endings.They're not good endings, they're not bad endings, they're...worse.
I love your shortcomic of the opening. You do a good job of using expressions to convey what Katniss is thinking/feeling. I especially love howyou show her relationship with Buttercup. I only feel that the scenes needed a shade of grey to give it more of the bleakness that comes from the book itself.
One last thing, I hopethat the trilogy stays on the page and never becomes a movie. Movie makers can't seem to get over happy endings where they're not needed (City of Ember). A graphic nocel version, yes, but no film.

I quite like the setting of ambiance in these first few pages
So the next book of yours that is coming out will the Hunger Wars Trilogy,
and the one after that will be Friends with boys.
