Description This is the Avro 698 Vulcan, part of the category of Strategic Bombers known as V-Bombers, why? Because its name starts with a V.

The Vulcan is a delta wing design and powered by 4 (11,000lbf) Bristol Olympus turbojets, depending on variant they would be either 101, 102 or 104 design, it can reach can altitude of 55,000ft and a maximum speed of 645pmh.

Here we see the Vulcan powering up and getting ready, note how the large delta wings spread out and the large tail at the rear fuselage.

The landing gear is tricycle set and has 10 wheels (2 nose and 4 per side).

Also note the in-flight refueling probe in the nose cone and the British roundel on the side of the forward fuselage.

Next picture will see it launch, soon after you will see it fly.
