Description
The Japanese Self Defense Force (JSDF) Metahuman Affairs Division is a special ops unit that deals in metahuman situations and alien incursions and invasion. It comprises of the nation’s top scientists and biologists, volunteer soldiers, and Cabinet Intelligence and Research Office (CIRO) agents. The division is split up into 10 sections including Intelligence, Research and Analysis, Investigations, Foreign Cases, Covert Ops, Self-Defense and Awareness, and Assault and Attack. Public Safety Section 10 is an urban pacification wing that coordinates with local law enforcement in handling metahuman cases in public areas as well as civilian safety.
The Division can be distinct from its sections by their gear:
Trooper: light armor, tactical radio, SG550-series assault rifles
Heavy Trooper: heavy armor, tactical radio, M134 minigun
Special Ops: light armor, tactical radio, SCAR-H assault rifles
Security Agent: suits with light Kevlar vests, KRISS Vector submachine guns
