Jake, out of rage, could of seriously injured Finn. Luckily, Jake is too much of a dummie-dum-dum to use his "powers" to it's full potential.

It's the kinda team they are. Which is demonstrated in "Dungeon" (S01E018) and Finn actually counts on in "Morituri Te Salutamus" (S03E02).
There is, in fact, another 'vs' episode... "Jake Suit" (S05E27), in which Finn shows just how tough he is.
