Actually, I agree with Yancis. Consider this: You don't carry your home around with you, either. You do, however, travel with your RV. When you're done vacationing, you park that stuff.
So, what you have here is a pile of snail RV's (or, as the British would say, "caravans").
The snails are back at work, daydreaming about their next vacation.
