Heya everyone! So, you've missed quite a bit but long story short, my computer died and I'm not sure that I can find my Sai registration info, so I'm trying out medibang!
So far I am VERY impressed with how smooth it runs, and the variety of things you can do with it. My only complaints so far are that it isn't too intuitive and some functions that make drawings look cleaner are hard to get right.
For example, the level of blending that I normally do in Sai is hard to achieve via this app.There isn't one brush that does it all, like in sai. To complete the shading/blending in this image I had to use a combination of 3 or 4 brushes. Moreover the "magic wand" tool I usually use when shading so I don't go outside the lines, is not great. I could just be using it wrong, or maybe have to mess around with its settings, but I don't find it to be as useful or precise as in sai.
BUT this program is absolutely free, and for a free program it has exceeded my expectations and would highly recommend it to those who may not be able to afford higher end art programs.
All in all I will continue to experiment with medibang, but I will probably be re-downloading sai as well, as each program offers different benefits and drawbacks.
