Description
YAY another tutorial. I said I'd do some more, so here I am. A tutorial on hair! A bit random, I know. Anyways, this is just Part 1, which gets into hair movement and flow, and the forces that control them. Part two will focus more on technique and different hairstylesPART 1: [link]
PART 2: [link]
PART 3: [link]
PART 4: Coming Soon!

I'm so glad you made this tutorial It's the best hair tutorial I've seen and I'm having real trouble drawing hair to the level of detail I want to, I just can't seem to get it to look realistic :/ I get the flow and volume wrong so it almost looks more like a wig than real hair |D

Thanks for this tutorial. My hair always looks like crap -- yes, both IRL and on paper. To bad I can't apply this info to my own head. Anyway, I'm glad you did it!

My inner engineer has fallen twitching to the floor at how wrong all the gravity references are. *spasms*
But an otherwise clear and simple tutorial. XD

aww is it that wrong? lol does it at least make -some- sense from a hair standpoint o.O? i know gravity never really goes away, nor has less effect.. so much as other forces can sometimes make it seem as though that's happening - but it's the easiest way to explain it to a bunch of artists XD

It made sense, but I was crying a little inside every time you said gravity is ignored or whatnot. It's better to say something weighs more or less. That way it won't offend my delicate science nerd senses. XD
If you want to take the time to change it, I'll be happy to point out all the places I was cringing at. Don't worry too much about it, though. It's a really nice tutorial otherwise. I especially liked the wind and water parts, since drawing moving hair is tricky for me. It's great to have a reference on how hair moves.

I thought it was just me but you got a tutorial on it and I see Im not weird (commenting for both this and part 2 >.< (Sadly too lazy to comment on both (I'd say the same thing anyway)))
And I love that you reply to most comments... A lot of people dont do that...
