"Deeeeeeeeeeeee! C'mon i know you're in there man - i can hear the TV. Open the doorrrrrrrrr!"A.E.D gritted his teeth as the dark wood of the door sent dull reverberations through his spine, an effect of Izm banging noisily on the other side. He was contemplating, geez, impatient fucker! One, it was late. Two, it had been a long and evil day. And three, because he was tired he had even more of a disposition of "i have no obligation to let him into my freaking room so why the hell should i?"
Although why Izm was bothering to knock on his door in the first place was a bit of a curiosity, as the goggled teen usually decided to Spiderman his way in through the window. .D snorted. Maybe he should ask to get that tree outside his room removed or something.
A dull thud ended the banging. Izm's words were muffled and quiet but close, so .D figured he'd put his head against the door.
".D, c'mon. I'm tired."
"Then go back to your dorm, you have a bed there!"
"But i have one here too!", Izm sounded exasperated for some reason, "...and besides i'm pretty sure Des is having a wet dream or something. As much fun as i think it would be to record him to play back for revenge later, i'm not in the mood and i can't get to sleep."
There was a pause.
"Also i fell out of the tree i was tired ok?! and i think i must've hit my head on the way down."
A.E.D cursed to himself. He COULD leave him outside. He really could. Zero obligation.
...No. No he couldn't. Curse this sense of camaraderie.
The door swung open suddenly, forcing Izm to catch himself before he could land face first into the prefect's room. The two stared at each other for a moment, before .D knitted his eyebrows into a glare and moved out of the way of the door frame to grant Izm access.
"I suppose you'll want some ice for that lump."
Izm grinned crookedly.

This started out as an exercise in trying to draw side shots of heads, and then evolved into a somewhat cliche sort of angst picture which i tried to offset by giving a less cliche angst story |D
Besides we all know that .D would have opened the door sooner or later.
Was listening to "Breakdown" by Guns N' Roses too which has some pretty interesting lyrics lol.

I really love how you colored, and the story adds great depth, like always. : ) I'm liking the contrast in the background, blue and the brownish color (I am so colorblind, haha I cant recognize the color... XD )
I have to say out of the two of them though,IZM's pose is my favorite as well as the emotions I get from him. Not to say I don't get emotions from .D, I do but, Baw, I just can't help but feel bad for IZM XDD

This picture touches me in so many ways. It's /startling/. Because I don't believe it's the prettiest picture I've ever seen, not the best at all, but it's pulling me apart for some reason and that's why I favorite'd it.

The thing you need to remember is that if you shade the hair one way then it's best to shade the rest of the picture that way as well (unless you are going for the "mixed media" kinda look)

You know, Darqx, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure I figured out why a long time ago.
Both are each other's only real friends.
I mean, when you really think about it, it's true. In their group, the boys have Zeke, Marcus and Wei Ren. Out of the three, .D seems closest to Marcus, but Marcus is more of the group pet/little brother to count as someone he'd consider as his equal. Izm has Zeke, but with most of your work Zeke and Izm come across as only really being friends because they're roommates, and Izm spends more time with .D nowadays (sorry Zeke, too many crackparties make Izm SAAAD D: ). That leaves Wei Ren, but he appears to really be friends with Zeke, and Zeke's just Izm's tag-a-long, make Wei Ren a TAG-A-TAG-A-LONG! NOEZ!!!
Anyway, when you take all that into account, their devotion to each other becomes really, really simple, and really, really depressing.
So far, Izm and .D only really have each other. I wonder what's going to happen when .D realizes that the only reason he's so accommodating is because Izm is the closest he has to a real friend, and, therefore the closest thing left he has to a flippin' family (same goes with Izm, sadly. ;.; )
(Or maybe I'm just wrong. Yay unnecessarily long FanTheories!

Well i wouldn't say they are each other's only real friends, because there is still the gang as well as various other acquaintances and stuff
Although the fact that they are both somewhat alone in terms of actual family also plays a factor, but it's not the only one or the deciding factor or anything
Actually Zeke is not Izm's roommate nor is he the addict
