Description And again - Star Trek TOS fanart (fanrender?). It's turning into some kind of mania, I'm afraid. And, what's even more alarming - I have no desire to be cured of it.
As all of you have probably guessed already, image inspired by "A Piece of The Action" episode.
Mr.Spock here want's to make an offer you simply won't be able to refuse. What offer, exactly? The hell, I don't know. You'll think of something.
Darth'Mael out.

Thanks again
About the dimensions of my images - my connection is rather slow, so I have to scale down anything larger than 1800x2000 to safely upload them here (it causes the page to timeout or just hangs up otherwise). All of my Trek pics were originally somewhere around 3000x4000px, and that's about twice the size of this one. They sure look better fullsize - but the bad side is that the rendering process itself takes a couple of hours with the resolution like this.
As for what's to come - I'm also planning to make the 3D versions of McCoy, Scotty, Sulu and Chekov... And Kirk too, sooner or later - it can't be avoided if I want to have the full bridge crew on my renders.

enterprising-bones In reply to DarthMael [2010-09-01 22:27:20 +0000 UTC]

...Damn it! The same logic there is in that green-blood them Vulcans have! (Durhur. )

DarthMael In reply to enterprising-bones [2010-09-01 22:33:53 +0000 UTC]

I shall disregard this remark as one totally irrelevant. However, what does "Durhur" mean?

enterprising-bones In reply to DarthMael [2010-09-01 22:37:46 +0000 UTC]

Why, it means whatever you want it to mean. [Grin.]

DarthMael In reply to enterprising-bones [2010-09-01 22:43:06 +0000 UTC]

Illogical. If you use the word, then it would be natural to assume you know it's meaning.

enterprising-bones In reply to DarthMael [2010-09-01 22:55:01 +0000 UTC]

Why, of course. It means what I want it to mean!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DarthMael In reply to enterprising-bones [2010-09-01 23:09:15 +0000 UTC]

Then what did you want it to mean when you wrote it?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

enterprising-bones In reply to DarthMael [2010-09-01 23:10:48 +0000 UTC]

Well, my pointed-eared comrade, I had meant to express the utterance of a human emotion. Now I know that is hard for you to grasp, givin' Vulcan neurology.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DarthMael In reply to enterprising-bones [2010-09-03 11:08:19 +0000 UTC]

And that is exactly why Vulcans are a superior race.

enterprising-bones In reply to DarthMael [2010-09-03 19:02:03 +0000 UTC]

...With that green ice water you call blood?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DarthMael In reply to enterprising-bones [2010-09-03 19:59:00 +0000 UTC]

The fact that Vulcan blood is based on copper instead of iron has no bearing on the subject, I believe.

Thank you for stating the obvious, but this also is totally irrelevant to the subject of our discussion.

enterprising-bones In reply to DarthMael [2010-09-04 09:26:54 +0000 UTC]

Gee, what the devil were we talking about anyway? I seem to have lost myself in irrational human emotion. :'D

DarthMael In reply to enterprising-bones [2010-09-04 09:28:57 +0000 UTC]

So you apparently did. I can remind you - you were trying to object to the known fact that Vulcans are superior to humans.

enterprising-bones In reply to DarthMael [2010-09-04 09:32:44 +0000 UTC]

...So that sex drive you have only comes around once every seven years. Don't you think that slows down your biological productivity just a little?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DarthMael In reply to enterprising-bones [2010-09-04 10:09:37 +0000 UTC]

Well, that is not entirely true.
"Despite popular opinion, TOS writer and story editor, Dorothy C. Fontana, insists that Pon Farr is not the only time that Vulcans feel sexual desire or engage in sexual activity: "Vulcans mate normally any time they want to. However, every seven years you do the ritual, the ceremony, the whole thing. The biological urge. You must, but any other time is any other emotion - humanoid emotion - when you're in love. When you want to, you know, when the urge is there, you do it. This every-seven-years business was taken too literally by too many people who don't stop and understand. We didn't mean it only every seven years. I mean, every seven years would be a little bad, and it would not explain the Vulcans of many different ages which are not seven years apart.""

As for the choice of colors - somehow in my mind such colors are associated with gangster period (20s-30s mostly)...
