Description
The Corsair II, unlike its predecessor, was a pure attack aircraft. Developed off the F-8 Crusader, the Ling-Temco-Vought Corsair II first flew in 1965 and went into service in 1967. They were flown by the U.S. Navy and later the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard. The Navy and Air Force retired theirs in 1991 and the ANG in 1993. Exported to Portugal and Greece, the last operation Corsair ended its career with the Hellenic Air Force in 2014.USS Midway (CV-41)

Our State National Guard flew them into the 80's. Β They were a frequent sight at airshows.
