Description
My first shield was just the firedog sign and a tv box cut-out stapled together by a LOT of staples. but with me going to more anime conventions and having a lot of fun with foam swords, i figured i'd work on actually making it usable in time for the next con.

i know it looks a bit... uneven. That's because i kept the original tv box and just added to it:

2 foam poster boards in-between the cardboard.
2 velcro straps for my arm (had to cut the straps and re-attach the fasteners cause of my small arm lol)
a layer of blue camping pad for the front of the shield and 2 foam pipe insulators for the edges
a LOT of lime green duct tape to match the firedog colors

it's thicker than i wanted it to be but it is my first shield. at least it seems to hold up well...
