A third concept sketch of the Cutlass , a spaceborne mecha used by the Pirate Clans.

A further work-up from the second version , this one features even further refinement of the proportions and weapons systems. The booster is even larger now, and the arms are thicker. In addition to the now-familiar railgun and laser turrets, as well as the booster-mounted missiles, this version also features smaller missiles under its arm shields. I’m not sure what the spikes on the forearms are; possibly some sort of harpoon-towline launcher for capture and salvage ops (which makes sense given its role)

This one is less faded then the others, for what that’s worth. Original artwork c2001-2002
