Nuckelavee is one of my favorite monsters.

it is a mythical monster in the Orkney Islands, Scotland. It is a man whose lower body has merged with the horse. It has a disproportionately large head and long arms in relation to the body, but the most field-like in its appearance is that it has no skin, but its rotten but strong muscles appear frightening. Nuckelavee is a dreaded creature, as its breath contaminates the vegetable stalks into cramped brooms and it often strangles people with its long fingers or drowns them. If Nuckelavee attacks, you may want to try to make it to run into a lake or river, Nuckelavee can’t stand fresh water.
