Project: Spectra was an ONI Project designed to make specially engineered Spartan IIIs and make them into ultimate stealthy assassination machines. But not like the AK-Drones.
They were put through far more intense conditions than regular Spartan IIIs. Participants were first put through basic stealth and combat training, Jason, April, Anita, Paladius and Clive, excelled the first week.
Next, the Participants were put through more intense training for around four weeks. Later, the augmentation procedures begun. They first engineered them as regular Spartan IIIs, then altered them into Stealth Spartans, utilising Covenant Active Camouflage technology, making their skeletons lighter, blood flow faster, and nervous system loosened so pain was less expressive.
New Training began with these augmentations. Later, the New Stealth Spartans were sent into active duty, mostly as ONI's Goons or Killers. Others as soldiers.
2 Years later the Project was abolished due to what ONI had used it for, murder and mayhem.
Participants were discharged from duty and allowed to go out to do whatever they wanted, a group, led by Jason, went to regular Spartan III military service. Clive stayed with ONI and became an Agent, a lot of them went rogue or committed suicide.
Jason however, continued the name of 'Spectra' by naming his Codename after the Project. Because he's nice like that.
