your stuff is incredible- i got to your gallery & i was like- whoa. i love seeing artists on D.A who have found their own unique style, and who have also refined & polished that style. it's so refreshing. i think your stuff is great- you have found a way to make art dipped in a plethora of incredibly intricate detail, & an elaborately filled composition- but without it being overwhelming, chaotic or too distracting to view in a pleasing way. You obviously have a great understanding for design, color, composition...etc, & know how to use those tools to give your work consistency & harmony- as it's not easy to have that much going on & still maintain its solidity as a piece. But you successfully do so. In fact, all of that detail & energy work for you- it's what makes your work so intresting & stunning- i love it.
in this particular design~> great use of color- using complementary colors gives it a nice edge- in fact blue & orange (or their tones or shades- such as this turqouise-y & peachy-salmon combo) is my favorite pair of complements. it works well with this theme: im sensing a sort of Hindu, Indian feel, with a bit of a Middle Eastern enchanting Oriental Dance (aka- belly dancing)- entangled with a sort of Spanish, or Santa Fe (hence the colors) desert vibe...
haha- that's the best way i can describe the themes im feeling here.

how do you approach a design like this, do you like do a rough version first on paper, or do you build it in photoshop. I have been wanting to design somthing with multiple layers...any tips?
