You have to first trek through the Forest of Death, which is nestled just beyond the Valley of Failure, through which the River of Pain flows. You have to cross it in the Yacht of Misery and traverse the remainder of you journey in the Shoes of Grief with the Staff of Bereavement. When you finally reach the Mountain of Doom, you must enter the Cave of Sorrow and persist through the Darkness of Abandonment until you are confronted by the Beast of Anger. To defeat him, you must use the Flamberge of Expiry. Once he is defeated, loot his belongings and use the Crystal of Demise to light your path to whatever it is I sent you to this mountain for.
