Generally Castellar is a fun loving skeleton with a sassy attitude. He loves to joke around his friends and is quite laid-back between monsters. He can act quite flirty towards people he finds interesting, usually with no actual intention to seek for something more than a friendship however. He loves to throw around sarcastic comments and comebacks while having conversations, also using this as a method to lighten up the mood the best he can if needed, as it's hard for him to find any other way to comfort someone, because as much of an extrovert as he is, it's very hard for him to handle emotional situations. As he does have many good features about himself aside his awkwardness with some situations, he can be quite stubborn about some things and beliefs of his. As an example, he has a deep grudge towards- and blames the humankind for the events of The Great War, now believing all humans are bad, monster-hating creatures. Another reason for his grudge towards humans is the rumors of his father's cracked skull being caused by a human. Castellar can also be very obsessive over some stuff, for instance his friends and people he holds close to his soul.

Other:

His skeleton-anatomy-wise incorrect/unrealistic face is caused by magic. His magic that influencing the way his face is, also causing him to be able to blink and move his "lips", and even makes the surface of his face feel sort of like smooth and leathery yet tight skin.

His eyebrows are real hair, growing from this skull thanks to a magic gene from his mother's side. But, his hair is actually just a wig that his mom attached to his head with magic when he was around 13. He asked for one on his birthday, for style and protection for his head. Cas has styled the wig in various ways during his life that do not include cutting the hair, because while the wig is attached with magic, it's not magical in itself. You know, the hairs don't grow back.

At younger age Castellar's magic based powers don't really work for his advantage. His magic activates only when he's emotionally unstable, and acts uncontrollably according to his feelings kind of like a defense mechanism. However while these powers do exist, Castellar is not really aware of them. Every time he's ever accidentally used them in his life, that part of his memory has gone blank due to emotional shock and stress.

Due to not being aware of the existence of his powers, Castellar can't use them casually on a daily basis. At least not until he finally discovers that he has them, and only in his late 30's or early 40's he finally learns to control them, although only to an extent; his powers will still be very weak/limited. He can't lift anything too heavy without it taking a serious toll on him.

Due to not knowing about his powers nor how to use them, Castellar is quite skilled at using swords, knives, daggers and other kinds of blades, but specializes in rapiers like the classy man he is. These he uses in battle instead of magic. He even carries a fancy dirk dagger with him under his shirt's sleeve from time to time, just in case.

Castellar's glowing eye or "Gaster eye" activates mainly when feeling strong emotions (extreme anger, emotional distress, sometimes when he's been startled and yadda yadda so on.)
