A little flash from Dean's past, as he hangs out with his uncle Jarell (yeah, I know the spelling is different on the paper - it was when I first mused up his name ). Jarell is veteran of many gang and mafia-related atrocities, and lives a pretty low-class life style, but Dean's mother insisted he play a part in Dean's life nonetheless, since it would seem those days had passed him by.

"Shadow" is a drow of whom no one's quite certain of his real name - he's never told anyone, and since he's a sneaky bastard that seems to disappear and reappear on whim, as though he were simply walking through shadows, the people he knows have dubbed him with a fitting nickname. He doesn't seem to care, and seems to use the name willingly when it comes to introducing himself. He was born and raised in the company of a group of individuals who were once simply servants, but with an unfortunate turn of events, ended up enslaved. He was born into a resistance group and grew up finding more and more new ways to spy on the higher-ups. He claims to "talk to the shadows, ask them for help," but whenever anyone joins in his meditation, no one else hears the shadows whisper to them, so most people cast him off as eccentric if not a bit nutty, but they also can't deny the skill he has when it comes to shadow-stepping and other such things that no one else seems to have mastered. ( Side note - Kotier has mastered this, but they've not met and use the magic in completely different ways ). After the resistance succeeded and the hierarchy of their nation fell, he was left with nothing to do, so he wanders around taking odd jobs as a mercenary - mostly as an informant.

The bloke writhing on the ground is... who knows. Just kind of came into being.

Gunhild and Maleroy make more filler appearances, for what reason it's hard to say.

Khoal threatens those who threaten his art of cleanliness. He works hard enough to keep everything in the theatre house that he's justified a few nasty glares when things go wrong.

Saku without his beast seems to have become much more... angelic in nature. Divine fire, big-ass wings. No divine personality, though - he's still the same ol' Saku we know and... remember.

Rinu and Luke converse on the subject of being pouty. I'm not sure what's got Luke in a bad mood, but Rinu's accomplished a HORRID art day. I love how Luke's hair ( especially goatee ) came out, and something about the tip of his ear. I'd like to pretend Rinu isn't there, but I wanted to hurry up and end the page...

Holy. Crap. That sketch of Saku is just... freaking epic. I don't know why, but it really struck something with me. I absolutely love it. The pose reminds me of... perhaps a suitable word would be "rebirth." He's still Saku (As we can clearly see in the last sketch page...) but that shot is just.. amazing. I can't seem to find suitable words o.O So I'll stop my blabbering there and get back to the reading I should be doing for journalism class >.>
